roll round in the toilet

You don’t pay. I take your website offline.

In times of crisis we seek for the best way to make money. Or at least the best way to reduce business costs.

If you can’t pay (or if you not want to pay) the only thing you can do is to not pay. This is a lesson that everybody know.

Yesterday I was stumbling upon international websites when I found this funny page. It is an italian website taked OFFLINE by webmaster because of debt.

I’m not kidding you. To be sure I translated the texts and you have:

THIS MAN, Francesco Armentano, AgitMedia srl Managing Director, has to pay 1050€ to THIS GUY, Giuseppe De Napoli. The website www.agitmediasrl.com will be taken OFFLINE untill invoices will be outstanding.

What do you think? Is he crazy but I like his style. Go on Giuseppe!

Nutella, we don’t like free pubblicity

Are you a marketer? Wouldn’t you love free pubblicity? Wouldn’t you pay for someone take your logo and spread his love for your brand? Maybe not, if you’re Ferrero, the famous italian Nutella-maker.

Anyone working in the advertising know what happened last days. Just few words to remind you. Ferrero sent a cease-and-desist letter to blogger Sara Rosso, founder and “activist” of the Wold Nutella Party. The reasons?  They asked me to put down the website and to close the Facebook fan Page because of an unauthorized use of their brand and logo.

Crazy? Are you kidding me? Since 2007 the World Nutella Party create a free word of mouth. Maybe more buzz than a billionaire adv campaign would have done. Every year nutella fan meet online to post pictures, video and blogs and express their love for the brand.

Ferrero stopped the previous action and claimed that, after contacting Sara Rosso, they found the right solution. It is too late? Nutella is one of the most loved brand in the world. What would have happened if it had been yours? Social media marketing rules. Listen before speaking.

TweetPee: Huggies tells you when your baby pees

Imagine a world where you know everything is happening. If you had known   that your baby had peed that time you wouldn’t have spent your spare time searching for a toilet in the centre of Madrid.

Maybe Huggies has something for you. TweetPee is an iPhone app that send you a tweet everytime your baby pees. According to a company stateful the app will not be available for purchasing but is has been maded just to help parents to keep track of the volume of diapers.

If I had a son I don’t know if I would be happy to receive a tweet whenever my baby pees even if I think that alerts could be useful. At least for careless parents.

Take a look at my boobs. Does my bra fit correctly?

When I opened up this blog I didn’t think I could find something to talk about every day. Web is crazy. People are crazy. Brands are crazy. And I love my work.

Just a question for you guys: want to see some boobs? “Yes” - you would answer. “Why not?”

Brayola has something for you too. The startup invented a feature, Fit or Not, that help women to discover the right bra without having a fit.

How does it work?

Simple. You try on a bra, prepare yourself and take a picture of your boobs. Once the photo is uploaded the community would tell you if the bra you have choosen is right for you or not.

The question is: Right or Not. You can skip if you want.

According to society 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra. From today you can solve this mankind’s problem just judging the boobs.

Puma Dance dictionary: translating words into dance

We are the physical representation of words. We have texts, tweets, words. There’s other way to spread messages. There’s different way to show who we are. Doubtless, the most expressive is body language.

To promote its new scent, Fragrances, Puma has created a new messaging platform www.pumadancedictionary.com where 25 freestylers would translate your words in body moves.

Take a look and share your thoughts!

Radio Shack, Beats Pill, phallic ojects and scantily-clad women

Mix-up everything and you have an exciting commercial where some girls hold the Beats Pill speaker in a hot-dog bun. Be aware guys, it isn’t an hot-dog.

But that’s Robin Ticke. And that we’re listening to is Blurred Lines.

#UWANTIT? Maybe yes. The ad, that has been out for about a week, reached its goals. More than 700.000 views on YouTube and, according to David Strasser research, the stores should hire bouncers to sell Dr. Dre products.

CEOs it’s the time to be social

According to MBAonline research CEOs should use social media more than they do. Why? Because every day 68milion brand related tweets are posted to Twitter and because it seems that people prefer to connect to brand using social media (such as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin) rather than company website.

Social Media are becoming even more important because people prefer to talk to people, love to be involved into two way communication. Corporate reputation is attributed to how people view the CEO. If you aren’t social people can’t rely on you.

Below the infographic made by MBAonline: The Social CEO

Is he abusing me?

Pedophilia is one of the most disgusting cancer of the world. Impossible to tell why. That’s it.

Sometimes adv and organizations can help abused child to know what’s going on and what they should do. A billboard in Spain, using lenticular printing, shows different messages to adults and children, depending on the vantage point.

The message you can see if you’re less than 1.3 metres tall is:

“If somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you”

There’s a message for adults too.

“Sometimes child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it.”

Ads can’t change the world we live in. Maybe it can help us making a better place.
